STEP 3: After gathering a certain amount, diver has to bring them up to surface.
STEP 4: Catch is landed on boat.
STEP 5: The abalone is then transported to be processed for individual quick freezing (IQF) to retain freshness.
STEP 6: The frozen abalone is then shipped to our factory in Malaysia for storage and canning.
STEP 7: The abalone is stored in a -25 degree freezer.
Each abalone is then hand picked by our staff after being defrosted. Nothing is wasted in the canning process, as residual waste is converted into fish feed and shells are on-sold to Jewellery stores.
STEP 8: Each can will be flipped around and sprayed with hot water then turned back up again. The conveyor will then transfer the cans to the next section.
STEP 9: Addition of liquid and products are then used to fill in and enter the machine. A seamer will vacuum out air from each can and seal it.
STEP 10: Cans are loaded to a cart and sent to retorts for high thermal processing which cooks and kills bacteria.
STEP 11: After thermal processing, the carts are unloaded onto the packing line. A blower will air blow dry these cans which are then sent for packing into cartons distributed to different locations.
